Battery Safety For Children - The Dangers Of Lithium Button Batteries

The video above should really open up everyone's eyes to the dangers of coin lithium button batteries to children. Battery safety isn't always the first thing we think of when small children are around, but I think this information is very important for any parent or caregiver.

These batteries are the size of a nickel and can cause serious health problems and severe burns if swallowed. They can be found everywhere in your home from remote controls to singing greeting cards and need to be kept away from children. In 2010 alone, more than 3400 were swallowed. Please watch this video so you can be more aware of this hidden threat.

Check out The Battery Controlled on Facebook and take the pledge to do your part to help prevent these batteries from being swallowed and please keep these batteries out of reach of children!
